Kansas Bananas on the First Day of Summer
June 21st marks the first official day of summer, so it's time for an end-of-spring update :)
There are currently 3 Dwarf Orinoco banana bunches hanging in the semi-pit tunnel greenhouse and a 4th, a Dwarf Brazilian, that is flowering:
Here are some of the young fig plants in the semi-pit tunnel (Panache, Violette de Bordeaux, Col de Dame Noir/Celeste):
Some of the figs in the high tunnel aquaponics system:
And finally some pics from the newly transplanted outdoor mini-plantation (the bunch is Dwarf Orinoco, fig is Salce) -
